Nakki Lake
Nakki Lake in Mount Abu, nestled in the Aravalli ranges, is a paradise for nature lovers. The first man-made lake in India, Nakki Lake has a depth of approximately 11,000 meters and spans a quarter of a mile in width. It holds historical significance as Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were immersed here, leading to the construction of Gandhi Ghat nearby. Considered a romantic destination, Nakki Lake is also revered by the Garacia Tribe and offers breathtaking views of natural wonders like the Toad Rock and the path leading to Sunset Point.
Guru Shikhar
Guru Shikhar, the highest peak of the Aravalli Range, is located 15 kilometers from Mount Abu. Rising 1722 meters above sea level, it offers breathtaking views of the Aravalli range and Mount Abu. Named after Guru Dattatreya, who is believed to have resided there, the peak features a temple converted from a cave. It is also home to the Mount Abu Observatory. A climb up a few steps leads to the top, where an ancient bell from 1411 AD stands. Ringing the bell symbolizes the accomplishment of reaching the peak and resonates across the valley of Mount Abu.
Toad Rock
Toad Rock, located south of Nakki Lake in Mount Abu, resembles a jumping toad and is a popular attraction. It offers panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding green hills. The pathway to Toad Rock begins near Nakki Lake and involves climbing 250 steps. The lush greenery along the path creates a serene atmosphere, but the climb may be challenging for older individuals and young children due to broken sections of the staircase. It is a must-visit spot for capturing the breathtaking scenery of the region.
